I’m completely blown away by the November issue of VOGUE with 26-year-old actress ROONEY MARA gracing the cover.

Rooney was photographed by the amazing duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott wearing a Ralph Lauren Collection black gown with a large dragon embroidery on the back. Quite fitting, no? She looked mysterious, gorgeous, and down-right dangerous.

Rooney talked to the fashion magazine about nabbing the extremely sought-after lead role in “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”; effectively beating out A-list actresses like Scarlett Johnasson and Natalie Portman. She opened up about working on the film and the changes she went through — mostly with her appearance — she had to drastically cut and color her hair for the role, as you can see.

“The eyebrows were the biggest shock because that really changed my face and I didn’t recognize myself,” says Mara. “But I was fine because I knew it was going to be really helpful for getting into character.”

Make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury achieved Rooney’s smokey eyes, flawless skin, and rich colored lips for the shoot using only CHANEL beauty products. | continue reading..

For her third look of the day, Nikki Reed hit the red carpet with Jackson Rathbone at the Auditorium Parco Della Musica for the 6th International Rome Film Festival premiere of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ wearing a winter white silk tulle gown with a plunging neckline by Maria Lucia Hohan.

The sides are also cut low, and the back features double draping detail which leaves the gown nearly backless — if it weren’t for the exposed zipper. Nikki may be showing a lot of skin, but there’s actually a sheer illusion fabric preventing a ‘wardrobe malfunction’. | continue reading..

This is more like it! Nikki Reed rocked her Casadei lace frill peep toe boots once again today, and they looked better with this dress than the Jenni Kayne hot pink mini.

Nikki wore a black “Ghana” embellished shift dress from the cruise ALICE by Temperley collection for a photocall and press conference to promote ”The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1″  during the 6th International Rome Film Festival.

Christina Aguilera attended the press junket on Friday to talk about the new season of her NBC reality singing competition “The Voice” with co-judges Cee-Lo Green, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton in Culver City, California.

Christina wore an ivory silk tie-neck blouse by L’Agence with a D&G skirt that she accessorized with a really cool Barbara Bui chain belt. She paired the look with black stockings and matching knee-high boots by Alexandre Birman.

This was very flattering for her new curvier figure, and thank goodness she wore tights. Embrace the stockings ladies! They can actually really improve your outfit and/or save any imperfections on your legs from mucking up the whole thing. | continue reading..

Nikki Reed and co-star Jackson Rathbone got their vampire groove on in Madrid, Spain yesterday for a photocall and press interviews at the Villamagna Hotel to promote the release of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1″.

Nikki wore a sleeveless sienna stretch boucle shift dress with double laced grommet detail at the top by Michael Kors.

The dress is cute, and it looks good on Nikki. I love her long multi-toned wavy hair, and her make-up was flawless. Unfortunately the same can not be said for the choice of footwear.

Her buckled suede cutout ankle boots by Camilla Skovgaard are insanely cool, no doubt about that, but the taupe color and style don’t really compliment the dress at all. A chunky gold sandal to match the grommet detail would have been ideal. | continue reading..

Mother Monster hit a high note yesterday when she attended a press conference at the Taj Mansingh Hotel in New Delhi, India to promote her “Born This Way” album wearing a gorgeous watercolor painted floral print gown from the Resort 2012 collection by Naeem Khan.

Leave it up to Lady G to attend a press event decked out in a glamorous gown, but she’ll wear anything but to a major award show. I do mean anything. It’s cool that she decides when the appropriate time for her to wear one is versus following the unspoken red carpet guidelines.

Gaga showed her support for the country by wearing a ostentatious double bun up-’do in pastel versions of the India flag colors, in combination with the lilac she already had.

Easter egg hair? Well, ok.

I’m actually really loving this look from head to toe; beautiful dress, complimentary make-up, explosive hair, and because she’s Gaga — huge sunglasses.

Style icon Iris Apfel recently spoke out to the Daily Telegraph about the lack of celebrity women wearing jewelry when they get all dressed up for the red carpet. I wonder what she thinks of the diamonds Gaga is dripping in…

Put your paws up!

Abigail Breslin definitely stood out at the NYC screening of “Janie Jones” held at AMC Loews 19th Street East 6 movie theater on Thursday night. The 14-year-old actress was shining bright in this neon yellow jacket and matching skirt from Nanette Lepore‘s Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

Obviously neon and camera lightning are not the best of friends; the color is bleeding in every photo. Hopefully it looked better in person and didn’t wash her out.

Playing off the fun and colorful look, Abigail wore fuchsia and black, and yellow sequined “Fifi” pumps by Christian Louboutin with a leopard design incorporating the color of her outfit. | continue reading..

Lily Collins slipped into a black and white Fall/Winter 2011 dress from Chanel when she attended the fifth anniversary of its celebrity make-up artist program last night in Los Angeles.

I actually love the dress even more on Lily than on the runway model, it’s less boxy and the heavy sequin embroidery from the petal detail at the collar and waist was removed. Both dresses are lovely, but Lily definitely aced this one.

Lily accessorized with a quilted envelope clutch and open toe mesh ankle boots; both baring the classic CC logo.

Her hair looked beautiful in long tumbling ringlets and her make-up was flawless.

 

While Robert Pattinson and Ashley Greene handled promo over in Sweden, their co-stars Nikki Reed and Jackson Rathbone were meeting and greeting with Twihards in Spain!

Nikki joined Jackson at the Kinepolis Cinema in Madrid, Spain tonight for a fan event celebrating the release of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ where they answered fan questions and showed clips from the upcoming film.

Looks like Nikki was jumping on the hot fall trend of wearing polka dots as she donned the print in a black and green twisted cutout dress from Topshop; it was shortened to hit mid-thigh on her. | continue reading..
