Elle Fanning in Valentino | 2011 Hollywood Film Awards Gala

I wonder if it’s even possible to describe how much I dislike how Elle Fanning looked on the red carpet tonight at the 15th Annual Hollywood Film Awards Gala.

The 13-year-old actress wore a laser-cut lace inset short sleeve nude gown by Valentino. The gown was a bit drab for the event, but I really want to know what possessed her to go for this ‘Swiss Miss’ braided hairstyle featuring a super heavy braid going across her head. It looks like hair surgery.

If she’s wearing any make-up at all, it’s very light. She still has another year or so before she’ll really need to wear any make-up though, so there’s no big deal with that.
