Madonna in L’Wren Scott | 2011 London Film Festival Premiere – “W.E.”
Photos: ZimbioMadonna celebrated her film “W.E.” tonight at the London Film Festival premiere held at The Empire Leicester Square donned in a black cocktail dress designed by L’Wren Scott which she paired with fishnet stockings and black leather Gucci pumps.
While I like this look for Madge, it’s far from flawless.
I love the simplicity of the fuchsia and gold sequin embroidered laurel leaf design traveling from her shoulder to the hem on the opposite side. I’m also thrilled she wore tights — not only was it practical for the weather, but I don’t understand why women are so afraid of tights on the red carpet. Sometimes they just work.
What I didn’t like was the fact that she selected fishnet instead of a sheer black.
Her make-up looked good, but her tumbling waves looked really good.
Madonna wore beautiful jewelry by Van Cleef & Arpels and Neil Lane — including a supportive “WE” initial necklace.
