Salma Hayek in Stella McCartney | “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”

I’m all about changing up a look by taking pieces from the runway and making it your own. What I’m not in favor of is the way Salma Hayek took this artistic Stella McCartney two-tone silk blue dress from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection and hid it beneath a jacket last night on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”.

Salma was on the show to promote her family fun adventure flick “Puss In Boots” (in theaters Friday!), and hit the stage in a black jacket with matching opaque tights and beloved Yves Saint Laurent “Tribtoo” pumps. Just peeking out was her Stella dress whereas I would have had that bad boy on full display.

The shades of blue in the dress are on the darker side; if she was looking to brighten up an otherwise all black look — it didn’t work.

Salma poured salt in the wounds by adding a thick cuff and an even chunkier necklace, err choker?

Everything was so distracting.
