I love red carpet surprises, and seeing Christian Serratos in this Alexander McQueen fuchsia pleated gown was definitely surprising.

I always feel kind of so-so about Christian’s red carpet looks, she has this perpetual “club wear” style about her at events that I normally can’t get on board with. I was totally “Team Christian” last night when she arrived at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE for the premiere of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1”.

The contrast of her silk-chiffon gown with the black carpet was stunning, but I mostly love how it was so effortlessly beautiful on her.

I’ve seen this gown worn quite a few times on the red carpet, but normally it’s been in pale shades or the classic black. Christian’s shocking pink was so refreshing — and it looked amazing with her golden skin.

Instead of the typical layered necklace, Christian wore her jewelry on the arm! This was another win for her because her arm cuff wasn’t binding and it wasn’t thick. She had two delicate double-loops bangles that had the right amount of distance from each other and just complimented the look beautifully.

Christian didn’t disappoint from the neck up either. Her vintage-style curls looked lovely, her make-up was a tad heavy — but didn’t look bad, and her looping drop earrings stood out without overwhelming.

She’s also carrying a gorgeous sparkling gold clutch by Judith Leiber.

Christian’s dress is currently available for $3,195 USD at!
