Whoa mama, talk about taking a ‘backwards approach’ to fashion.

Demi Lovato arrived on the green carpet at the Latin GRAMMY Awards on Thursday night at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Demi was in attendance because she would be performing with Pablo Alboran during the ceremony.

Before changing into a purple silk gown for their duet, Demi turned heads in a Roland Mouret zip-front stretch crepe ‘Compeyson’ gown in a rich violet color. At least it’s supposed to have a zipped front…if Demi hadn’t worn it backwards.

I commend her for trying something different with the dress, and thankfully the dramatic open plunge in the ‘neckline’ didn’t reveal too much of herself. My only issue with this is that I actually liked the original form of the dress. While Demi’s way certainly isn’t unsightly, I’m not sure if I really like that this was the gown she messed with the design of.

She still would have had a deep neckline (but more discreet) and a great silhouette if she had worn it the original way. You too could get Demi’s look by only spending a cool $1,940 for it at Net-a-Porter!

I saw some recent photos of her sporting this new red haircolor, thankfully it looks like the brightness was taken out of it and she was left with a pretty auburn shade with dark roots and undertones.

A fresh tan and glossy red lips finished off her look.
