It was a night of music and winners (and losers) — on stage and on the red carpet.
Miranda Lambert arrived with husband Blake Shelton (who was donned in a Zegna suit) wearing a strapless black gown that was custom made for her by Haute Hippie. The dress featured a sweetheart neckline and lots of crystal embellishments. It clustered at the bodice before scattering down the dress.
Miranda didn’t wear a necklace, but she obviously wasn’t low on glitz. She wore diamond drop earrings, rings, and a Jimmy Choo crystal embellished silver clutch by. Her hair was up and high in a glam up-’do.
Reba McEntire was also in a custom dress…her own design! Reba collaborted with Terry Gordon on this dark green velvet gown with a crystal embellished attached sleeveless shoulder capelet. It was an interesting look…definitely something only Reba could wear. I’m not sure this would fly on Taylor Swift.
While Reba let stray pieces fly from her pretty up ‘do — her bangs were swept and on full display.
Sara Evans often claims she’ll never wear a gown since she likes to show off her legs. She was obviously feeling the long dresses last night when she selected this dark one sleeve silk gown by David Meister. Since the dress was solid, Sara was able to load up on the layered golden and blue necklaces that she matched to her drop earrings, bracelet and golden clutch.
I think Sara looked really pretty, probably the best she has on the red carpet in a long time — in my opinion, of course.
Grace Potter arrived with Kenny Chensey wearing something I never thought I’d ever see. She wore a beautiful cream-colored drape gown by Alexander McQueen and…wait for it…added her own crystals to it!
It was a great dress and her hair looked fab, however — I can not forgive the crystal embellishing. If it ain’t broke…
I’m not fond of her dress modifications, but I do love the Royal Asscher 18kt rose gold double band diamond ring with a diamond shank and the 18kt rose gold double band diamond ring with the un-jeweled split shank that she wore.
