Selena Gomez in Marchesa | MTV Europe Music Awards 2011

Hostess of the night, Selena Gomez arrived at the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards tonight in Belfast, Northern Ireland wearing a long-sleeve ivory tulle dress from the Fall/Winter 2011 collection by Marchesa. In fact, I think it may actually be a top as it was paired with pants for the presentation this past February.

I really appreciate how the look was toned down around the neck a bit for Selena to wear on the hot pink carpet, but why did she not wear the pants? I loved the pants with this! On top of that, I hate that her hair is so messy over it.

I mean, really? Did this have to happen?

Of course, this is an MTV award show and sparkly pumps are pretty much a staple, but I expected a little bit more thought would have gone into her whole look considering she’s the host. I do like her Casadei ruched peep toe pumps, but just not with this dress.
