Three Different Looks, Same Designer = The Ladies Love Armani

It was a bit of an Armani frenzy yesterday! The stars came out in Milan, Italy to celebrate the Armani Hotel Milano opening, but the attendees of the grand opening weren’t the only ones hooked on Giorgio’s designs.

Just the night before Rachel McAdams attended the after party of the press night performance of “Hamlet” at the Young Vic Theatre in London. Her boyfriend Michael Sheen is playing the lead role in the classic William Shakespeare play.

For the after party, Rachel slipped on a black velvet sheath dress with an open boat neckline featuring a long cascading draped detail off the left side. The underlining was twisted to reveal striking pale peach satin. This dress is from the Pre-Fall 2011 collection by Giorgio Armani.

I really would have loved this on her if I could, not only see her from a frontal view, but if she had done something with her hair. The curls are way too matted and messy.

Rachel slipped on a pair of “6144” suede peep toe pumps by Casadei to complete her look.

Back to the Armani Hotel Milano opening…

I’m still speechless over how amazing Jessica Alba looks after giving birth not too long ago. The 30-year-old actress wore an Armani Privé asymmetric black velvet backless top over a silk pencil skirt. The lower half of the skirt featured grosgrain ribbon banding and a white block hem covered in a beautiful hand-painted design of black and pink flowers.

While this look was not seen during the Fall/Winter 2011 haute couture presentation, many variations of it were. I wonder why she didn’t wear one of those, I prefer almost all of them over this particular dress.

Jessica also wore black cutout point-toe pumps and carried a flower-detail embellished handbag from the collection.

Pale lips, a center part up-‘do and a gold ruby, gold, and diamond cocktail ring finished her look.

Maggie Gyllenhaal‘s look of the night leaves me confused. I’m not really sure why she decided to cover up the embroidered metallic billowing ankle length strapless dress with this super long sleeveless cape.

Her dress, from the Giorgio Armani Fall/Winter 2011 collection, is such an interesting design and deserved to take center stage. I don’t like how the dress is being covered up, but I did like the belt she wore to give it a little definition. The way the belt is positioned just further proves my theory that she’s carrying another baby.

Maggie is also wearing high-cut lace pumps from the collection.
