2011 Style Verdicts: Best Dressed Red Carpet Correspondents
Award show night isn’t always about the movies, music, or actors the ceremonies are celebrating — it’s also about the red carpet wardrobe moments! It’s hard enough getting ready for the big night when all eyes are on you, but now imagine being surrounded by a swarm of A-listers that you’re preparing to interview every sixty seconds while still looking your very best. These red carpet correspondents prove that they can compete with the best of them from the silver screen and stage when it comes to a little something called “glamor”.
Guiliana Rancic | Photo: ZimbioE!’s Giuliana Rancic has had a difficult end of 2011 as she has been fighting breast cancer, but at the beginning of the year she was all smiles on the red carpet at the Golden Globe Awards. She looked stunning in a black strapless floor-length dress with a intricate pleated bodice designed by Julia Clancy.
Giuliana finished off her look with lighter additions including pale pink stone drop earrings with lacquered nails and a glossy lip to match! Her hair was styled high in a teased up-do with swept bangs that were slightly curled at the end.
I’m sending out best wishes for a better year for Giuliana and her family! Can’t wait to see her on the carpet again soon.
Kelly Osbourne | Photo: ZimbioAlso hitting a high note at the Golden Globes was E! Fashion Police correspondent Kelly Osbourne. The 27-year-old arrived on the red carpet in a show-stopping one shoulder black gown by Zac Posen with a zig-zagging ombré effect going down the side.
I loved the sunset-inspired shades of peach and lavender; it was a great way to brightened the otherwise dark style.
With a swept up hairstyle, Kelly showed off her purple geode earrings by Kimberly McDonald. She also wore a matching ring.
Maria Menounos | Photo: ZimbioIf you’re going to wear all black, sometimes it’s fun to jazz it up by making it sparkle. Access Hollywood’s Maria Menonous had a dazzling moment at the Primetime Emmys this year when she hit the red carpet in a sleeveless fully-sequined gown from the Fall/Winter 2011 collection by Emanuel Ungaro.
She added a little bit of color to the look with diamond and sapphire jewelry along with a navy blue satin clutch. Gorgeous cascading curls that were pulled to one side completed her look.
Shaun Robinson | Photo: ZimbioAccess Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson dazzled at the Golden Globes back in January when she hit the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in this striking single sleeve sequined gown by Oday Shakar.
The gunmetal color and daring cut — with a carpet gliding skirt — was enough of an eye-popping moment, but add in Shaun’s selection of a matching pair of earrings and clutch and we had a winning look.
I especially loved her chic twisted chignon hairstyle and shades of grey smoked eyeshadow.
Nancy O'Dell | Photo: ZimbioWhoa mama! It was all about color for Entertainment Tonight’s co-anchor Nancy O’Dell when she arrived to the Primetime Emmys this year in a body-hugging and figure-flaunting bright coral-red strapless gown.
The pleated detail and folded hem added dimension to the solid look by Lorena Sarbu, but Nancy added the extra pop with on-trend turquoise jewelry!
I loved everything about this right down to her sleek long ponytail and pushed back volumized swept bangs.
Shout to all of the fabulous PR girls, fashion bloggers, and editors… you’re next in 2012.
