Andrea Riseborough in Marchesa | BAFTA Los Angeles 2011 Britannia Awards

The stars came out for the annual BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards last night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Andrea Riseborough graced the red carpet in a bright white sweetheart strapless cocktail dress from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection by Marchesa.

This silk chiffon dress with tulle peplums was originally presented embroidered during New York Fashion Week in September, but Andrea selected an unembellished design. Perhaps it’s from Marchesa Bridal?

Andrea has a classic style; I’m not surprised that she went for a cleaner style. She didn’t need the embroidery at the neckline, but I would have preferred that the actual dress and opening at the hem still contained the beautiful details from the catwalk.

Some balance between her dress and her accessories, a silver python clutch and matching metallic Brian Atwood “Maniac” pumps would have been great. At this rate, her shoes and dress competed for attention.
