Charlize arrived at the AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater wearing a one shouldered bone silk crepe moroccain “Bennet” embroidered dress. It was obviously customized with added fabric in the center to make it a bit longer for her tall curvy frame as the original runway version is a micro-mini. It also made it a little less revealing at the bust. I love the added length; she probably would have looked fabulous either way, but this suited her figure and style.
To match the perforated fabric at the neckline, Charlize wore a pair of black leather ankle strap “Raia” sandals by Manolo Blahnik with a fishnet wide t-strap that I love so much. I want to make them a part of my own footwear collection — you just can’t deny a shoe this good.
With soft make-up and a low bun that left falling pieces to frame her face, Charlize was able to really let her Traffic by Harry Winston diamond drop earrings shine.
She finished off her look with a Harry Winston diamond cuff and a white Stella McCartney clutch that worked well with the dress, but I can’t help but wish it had been navy blue.
