Katherine Heigl knew the trick to keep her sexy black lace strapless dress by Dolce&Gabbana from blending in with the carpet at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre for the premiere of her new film “New Year’s Eve” — a pair of bright shoes!

The 33-year-old actress arrived at the Los Angeles premiere of the holiday flick on Monday night wearing crystal bow d’orsay gold satin peep toe pumps by Valentino. The metallic color and little bit of sparkle was the ideal style to go for when attending a premiere about the biggest party of the year!

Katie kept it going with a matching glittering tube clutch by Jimmy Choo and gorgeous vintage jewelry. With diamond studs in her ears, Katie wore a stunning gold and ecru rose necklace.

She kept her make-up light, but played up her short coif with big curls. I miss her long hair, but at least she has fun with the shorter style.

In addition to having fun with the look, she also enjoyed her time on the black carpet with her husband singer Josh Kelley. The two were spotted sharing smooches and loving looks the whole night.
