Nina Dobrev in Monique Lhuillier | “The Ripple Effect” Benefiting The Water Project Charity
Photos: Zimbio; Style.com; (below) Brian AtwoodTVD’s Ian Somerhalder and Kat Graham (pictured with Nina below) hosted the dinner for the non-profit organization focused on ‘bringing relief to communities around the world who suffer needlessly from a lack of access to clean water and proper sanitation.’
Nina arrived on the red carpet donned in a long-sleeve black dress from the Fall/Winter 2011 collection by Monique Lhuillier. This design was full of detail! A luxe velvet bow at the waist separated the pencil skirt from the bustier bodice with a neck-to-waist overlay of black lace that connected to the sleeves.
She added a burst of vibrant color on her feet with a pair of “Maniac” calf-hair fuchsia pumps by Brian Atwood.
I adore her shoes, but I wish she had worn a sleeker style — such as the garnet red “Teodora” satin and suede pleated pumps from Atwood’s Fall collection. If they were available in blue, that would have been even better to go with the theme of the night! But if she was really feeling the pink calf hair look, Atwood also designed the fabulous “Morgan” with a sexy twisted gold heel.
