Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband actor Matthew Broderick was among the attendees at this years Kennedy Center Honors this past Sunday night at the Kennedy Center Hall of States in Washington, DC.

The “New Year’s Eve” actress hit the star-studded red carpet wearing a black organza ballgown from the Fall/Winter 2011 collection by Theyskens’ Theory. I like the subtle detail of the buttoned bodice; the full skirt reminds me of the angel tree topper on one of my Christmas trees — and I mean that as a compliment. I’ve been less than pleased with SJP’s recent looks; she’s worn some really great dresses, but over-all she’s been less than stellar on the red carpet for me.

At the KCH event she was much more polished. For once, her hair was kempt and smooth. I’m normally not a fan of this ‘such great heights’ style, but I think it was best for this particular gown. Her Fred Leighton diamond earrings are stunning.

You can see them, but she wore Manolo Blahnik pumps.
