2012 SAG Awards: The ‘Modern’ Ladies Get Glam!
L-R: Sofia Vergara; Ariel Winter; Julie Bowen; Sarah Hyland | Photos: ZimbioSofia Vergara was purr-fect in a fuchsia colored sleek form-fitting gown by Marchesa that featured asymmetric gathering at the bodice. She always knows how to work a gown; I love her silhouette and how she just struts it on the red carpet every single time. She finished off her look with a colorful python clutch and complimentary jewels from Lorraine Schwartz. She was, once again, wearing her hair in a ponytail — I’m a big fan of the elegance of it.
Ariel Winter is a young actress that I can’t wait to watch grow with her style. Even at 14-years-old she knows what works best for her and she’s consistent with her look. For the SAG ceremony she opted for a strapless cocktail dress from the Resort 2011 collection by Collette Dinnigan that featured an embellished bodice and a steel grey lace knee-length skirt. She finished off her look with a pretty mane of curls and gunmetal glitter pumps.
A vision in bright purple, Julie Bowen looked fabulous at the SAG award show. She has an athletic “runners body”; there’s not much going on in the curves department but she and her stylist work with that well. Not only was the color of her Temperley gown complimentary for her as well as beautiful, but the column skirt was a nice sleek fit. Some dimension was added up top with a loose draping bodice. The crystal details at the shoulders of her open sleeves were a dazzling touch.
Julie was also “Team Ponytail” that night. She finished off her look with purple suede peep toe pumps.
I really loved the fluttery sleeves and beaded details on the creamy v-neck Temperley gown that 20-year-old Sarah Hyland wore. She looked comfortable, confident and very pretty. She kept her accessories simple with a champagne satin clutch and a diamond bangle.
My favorite part of her look were the stray falling curls from her swept up hairstyle.
