Angelina Jolie in Elie Saab & Brad Pitt in Versace | 23rd Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala

It was a night of improvement for Angelina Jolie when she joined Brad Pitt (in a black Versace suit!) on the red carpet for the 23rd Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala.

It’s rare that I actually dislike what Angelina wears, and I usually prefer when she wears color, but it’s only a few weeks into 2012 and I already think this is one of the best things she’ll probably wear all year.

Angie balanced out her long, but very slim frame by just showing off her shoulders in this cool off-runway greige halter pleated jumpsuit from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection by Elie Saab.

Despite the fact that the top billowed out, I was so excited that she didn’t add one of those weird chain belts that I feel many stars would have considered, if not followed through with. The wide leg design also gave off the illusion of a skirt.

I think she looked great! Other than the outfit, Angie’s skin and signature pout looked really healthy and glowed; her shiny honey-brown tresses cascaded over her shoulders.
