Diane Kruger in Giambattista Valli | Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week – Spring 2012: Giambattista Valli Show

Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week continued on yesterday with the fabulous presentation by Giambattista Valli — and let me tell you, this collection is truly brilliant.

The shades of plum and fuchsia used amongst all the black and white gowns were gorgeous. I couldn’t stop staring at the swishing sheer fabric, floral prints, lace details and all of the scattered flower appliqués. Stunning.

Enjoying the show front row was actress Diane Kruger who arrived at the prestigious Hôtel de Crillon donned in a textured coat dress from the Fall/Winter 2011 haute couture collection. I, naturally, enjoyed the embellishments at the base of the fur vest coat that flow into tiers of feather plumes.

This design probably should have been on someone a bit taller as I loved how it hit the model above the knee on the runway; it feels a bit overwhelming on Diane.

She finished off her look with a bun hairstyle and cutaway suede pointed toe booties by Azzedine Alaïa.
