Jennifer Morrison in Oscar de la Renta | 2012 People’s Choice Awards

I was a bit confused by Jennifer Morrison last night when she arrived on the red carpet for the 2012 People’s Choice Awards. I understand that celebrities love to wear spring runway looks in the fall and winter looks in the summer – but I’m not sure I know what was going on in her head for this spring style.

The normally well dressed “Once Upon A time” actress wore a clay silk georgette embroidered dress with a fringe hem from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection by Oscar de la Renta that just seemed wrong for the event. It’s a pretty dress, I would just imagine her hitting up a summer premiere wearing it. There’s also something very ‘lavish tropical vacation’ about it and less ‘red carpet awards ceremony’.

I wasn’t into her top-knot (err, top-poof?) hairstyle, and I was even less thrilled with the pairing of those suede Casadei pumps.

Nothing went well together… well except for her dress and the ODLR “Cara” vanity case she carried.
