Jessica Chastain in Andrew Gn | 12 Annual AFI Awards

Jessica Chastain went for a monochrome look at the 2012 AFI Awards yesterday in Beverly Hills. “The Help” actress arrived wearing a sheer inset black sleeveless butt-front blouse and a white skirt with a zipped front, black trim, and pocket detail from the Resort 2012 collection by Andrew Gn.

I love the skirt, but I’m totally torn with the ensemble for this event. It was an afternoon awards ceremony and pretty much semi-formal so I didn’t expect her in some extravagant cocktail look. At the same time though, it’s award season and you’re supposed to go for it at every turn. I felt this was so much of luncheon style.

With all of that said, this is probably a look I have loved most for her. It wasn’t too pale, fit great, was cool all on its own, and she accessorized well along with a nice hairstyle and complimentary make-up.

Jessica completed her ensemble with slingback Christian Louboutin pumps and a stray curl falling from her ponytail.
