Jessica Chastain in Balenciaga | 2012 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards

Well, well, well… it seems Jessica Chastain is determined to step her style game up this award season. She was probably just warming us up with her — several — previous tea-length looks to prepare us for some major gowns.

She was off to a good start tonight when she attended the 2012 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards at the Hollywood Palladium. She joined her co-stars from “The Help” as their 2011 drama won for “Best Acting Ensemble”.

Jessica dressed up in a bubblegum pink halter-neck crepe gown by Balenciaga that featured a sleek skirt, banded waist, and a draping neckline with folded elements.

Because this reminds me so much of Claire Danes in Calvin Klein last year, I can’t get one-hundred-percent into it. It’s a bold move for Jessica though; she’s moving in a great direction.

She finished her look off with a sleek bun, a berry stained lip, and diamond trimmed topaz earrings.
