Jessica selected the black square neckline dress with the absolutely beautiful red and purple floral embroidered tea-length pocket skirt. Obviously I love, love the dress – but I can’t contain my disappointed on how it was worn.
When the dress was originally shot on Hillary Rhoda for the PF12 lookbook, the straps and bodice were smooth and a gorgeous beaded layered necklace was added to compliment it. I loved that!
Not only did Jessica opt not to wear a killed piece of neck-wear, her straps were all twisty and falling off her shoulders.
I also wasn’t the biggest fan of her messy up-do and basic strappy platform Roger Vivier sandals.
Sleek hair like she had on Tuesday night, a fun necklace, and a stand-out pair of sandals would have helped the look — but nothing would have improved it like fixing those straps.
Jessica — who posed with her co-star from “The Help, Viola Davis — finished off her awards gala look with deep berry lips and stunning ruby and diamond stud earrings.
