Julianna Margulies in Calvin Klein Collection | 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards

“The Good Wife” star, Julianna Margulies went for bold color when she attended the 2012 Golden Globe Awards this month and while I liked that dress on her, I loved her selection for last Sunday night’s 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards more.

Her custom dove grey embroidered strapless dress by Calvin Klein Collection was a fabulous fit; the kind of dress I’ve been hoping she’d wear for awhile. I’m not too excited about the actual embroidery though.  They kind of looked like cells from my biology books growing up.  Oh, come on. Don’t act like you don’t see it.

Anyway, what I really love about this is the fact that she wore her hair curly. She doesn’t do this too often, but I’m obsessed with the gorgeous princess ringlets that are halfway gathered and just falling down her back.  This was a knock-out look for her – embroidery aside — it was the best I’ve seen her on the red carpet in a long time.

Julianna completed her look with a pair of silver earrings by Marcy Miller Jewelry.
