Meryl Streep in Alessandra Rich | 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards

That term “less is more” is hard for some ladies to stick to when attending such a glamorous event as the 2012 Golden Globe Awards. But, Meryl Streep took it to new heights this past Sunday when she attended the ceremony in a gown by Alessandra Rich.

“The Iron Lady” actress accepted her award for “Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture Drama” wearing a black shirt dress with western-styled lace embroidery on the bodice and back from Rich’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection. I wish she had left the lace on the sleeves as seen on the model.

She left her hair up with a slight wave falling loosely in the front.

I like her ‘take it or leave it’ attitude about her style. She never wears anything that she doesn’t look one-hundred-percent comfortable in.

No in-your-face diamonds, nothing sparkled, and zero big hair. Just Meryl.
