Michelle Williams skipped the red carpet last night at the 64th Annual Directors Guild Of America Awards, but we thankfully got some shots of her Chanel dress when she was in the press room after accepting the Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentary for ‘Project Nim’ on behalf of James Marsh.

Her one-shouldered black crepe gown comes from the Fall/Winter 2007 haute couture collection; how stunning are the clusters of embellishments in silver, gold, navy and emerald green that peek out from the bodice and the thigh-high slit in her skirt?

A large appliqué also sits at the shoulder.

This was definitely a stand out look of the night.

Michelle finished off her look with a diamond ring, bracelet and studded earrings.

She’s also wearing black pumps.
