Missi Pyle in Claire Pettibone | 2012 Directors Guild Of America Awards

Missi Pyle gave me a bit of a flashback to Julia Jones at “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ premiere last year when I saw her on the red carpet last night for the 64th Annual Directors Guild Of America Awards. What do the two have in common?

Their dresses look like nighties!

The angelic lace of Missi’s v-neck cocktail dress by Claire Pettibone was a lovely design and looked nice on her, but I just couldn’t stop the comparisons to a beautiful bridal négligée.

But, maybe that’s because Pettibone is a bridal couture designer.

Luckily I totally prefer hers to Julia’s.

Missi’s hair looked great in thick long cascading curls, but I wasn’t into her accessories. The dark clutch and nude pumps didn’t work together, and the large crystal detailing on her shoes was a bit distracting.
