Paula Patton in Moschino Cheap & Chic | Sean “Diddy” Combs Hosts CIROC The New Year 2012

After nearly a two month promotional tour for “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol”, Paula Patton got to kick back and party into the new year with her husband Robin Thicke. The couple rang in 2012 at Diddy’s hosted “CIROC The New Year 2012″.

For the biggest party of the year, Paula Patton slipped into a black silk sleeveless mini dress by Moschino Cheap & Chic with a drapey neckline and completely embellished with gold safety pins.

I had only seen a few pictures of her sitting on Robin’s lap, so I figured the extra short version of this was just hiking up on her thighs from being seated. After seeing a full-length photo I noticed that the dress had been shortened a bit. Despite the awkward posing, it’s not so bad… until you actually get a looksie at her feet!

Seriously? You’re wearing a gold detailed embellished black dress on New Year’s Eve and you decide to wear bright yellow zipped front ankle booties? She ruined it with the shoes, and this is reminding me of the Dolce & Gabbana decable back in Rio. Choose your ‘pop of color’ wisely.

Naturally black or metallic gold sandals would have been much more ideal for this look.
