Shailene Woodley opted for a bold print for her trip down the red carpet at the Shrine Auditorium for the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards last night in Hollywood.

The 20-year-old star of “The Descendants” selected a silvery-blue sequined v-neck tank dress that was printed with red and white scattered flowers from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection by L’Wren Scott.

I love that she took this risk — but I’m not in love with this look.

Shailene has had a rather roller-coaster style ride this awards season; I like it one minute and I don’t the next. Because I wasn’t prepared to see this at the ceremony last night I was taken by surprise, but I can’t say it wasn’t a welcomed one.

At least she went for it.

If she had worn her hair out it would have been way too much so I’m glad she wore it in a low and loose ponytail.

She finished off her look with Salvatore Ferragamo shoes and jewelry by Irene Neuwirth.
