Shailene Woodley in Valentino | 23rd Annual Producers Guild Awards

It’s less than a month into the new year but “The Descendants” actress Shailene Woodley must already be worn out from the amount of appearances she’s been making during award season. This is her first time making these annual red carpet rounds; just last week she hit the red carpet at the 23rd Annual Producers Guild Awards.

The 20-year-old actress arrived at the Beverly Hilton Hotel wearing a velvety frock from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection by Valentino.

I loved seeing this in the rich navy shade and styled as a tunic with matching pants for the presentation, but more than that, I liked it being gathered with a string belt.

Why did Shailene pass on that?

She has a nice figure and should embrace it… this dress looked like a tent on her.

Shailene completed her look with a great red pout and embellished silver sandals from Sergio Rossi; I think cascading waves would have been better than the haphazard ponytail she sported.
