Tilda Swinton in Haider Ackermann | 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards

I’m never a huge fan of what Tilda Swinton wears, but I’ve always respected her style — including her love of all things Haider Ackermann, whom she wears often.

I expected her to wear an Ackermann design for her walk down red carpet at the Beverly Hilton Hotel for the 2012 Golden Globe Awards this past Sunday, and I figured she’d wear the black and ruby metallic cutout waist twisted jacket with the black sheer skirt from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

Turns out I was half right. She wore this look, but in a custom metallic periwinkle color.

I still wish she had worn the former because her selection gave me “Mother of the Bride” vibes all night.

The only thing I really liked about the look were her cool metallic cuff bracelets, but I don’t think she needed two of them.
