Viola Davis in Marchesa | 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards

Viola Davis stunned on the red carpet at the Shrine Auditorium on Sunday for the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in a Grecian-style white strapless gown by Marchesa with beautiful gold embroidery.

This is definitely something different than I’m use to seeing Viola in, but it was certainly a great creation for her to accept her award for “The Help” in during the ceremony.

Not only was this a new direction for her as far as clothing — I love her hair! Gone was her better-Bieber ‘do as it was replaced with a bouncy coif of curls.

She finished off her look with Jimmy Choo sandals, a Judith Leiber clutch, blackened 22k karat gold, sapphire and white coral earrings with a gold and diamond lemon branch bangle — both by Cathy Waterman.
