Cate Blanchett arrived for The Ever Changing Face of Beauty opening reception on Tuesday night at the Park Avenue Armory in NYC wearing a dress by Juan Carlos Obando. This event was hosted by Stefano Tonchi, Editor in Chief of W Magazine.

The “Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” actress selected this artistic design straight from the designer’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection that was just seen this past week for New York Fashion Week.

Simply put — I love this dress!

Cate finished off her look with vibrant coral red lips and a pair of “Corpus” gold pumps by Christian Louboutin. I wish she had worn a style more complimentary to the dress.
