Ellie Kemper made a bold entrance last night for the 14th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel last night when she opted for a eye-popping striped dress.

The “21 Jump Street ” actress selected a strapless cocktail dress from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection by Giorgio Armani in iridescent shades of blue with thick dark stripes that folded over at the waist.

While the dress looked a little big on her, it was exciting to see her in such a vibrant style!

With a loose up-do featuring straying pieces and wispy bangs, Ellie finished off her look with black satin Brian Atwood “Maniac” pumps that matched her evening clutch.

A nail lacquer to match her dress would have been a nice touch, but Ellie left her nails bare — a giant pet peeve of mine.
