I usually love when Florence Welch wears dresses by Alexander McQueen, but when the Florence + the Machine front-woman arrived at the BRIT Awards tonight… something just seemed so off.

Florence wore a modified version of this pale peach textured mullet gown from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection with cut-outs amongst the neckline and added long sleeves. She looked so pale; this color just did nothing for her fair tone skin. If this has been done up in the orange-red colors from the same collection, it would have been a huge improvement.

I’d like to see this color on someone with more of a sun-kissed complexion.

Furthermore, I like the original version of this design so I was a bit peeved to see it altered.

The 25-year-old singer went the whole McQueen way and wore a gorgeous pair of matching twisted platform sandals with rose-gold metallic detail at the straps that matched the bracelet and ring connected jewelry she wore on both hands.

With a messy mane of red waves, her look was complete.
