Katy Perry did not let me down tonight; not only did I suspect she’d wear a shade of blue — my first choice was an Elie Saab gown from the latest Spring/Summer 2012 haute couture collection.

She delivered on both counts.

The 27-year-old Grammy-nominated singer hit the red carpet at the Staples Center wearing a sky blue beaded wide-neck gown with three-quarter length sleeves and a cinched waist due to a thin belt.

She wore her bright blue bob in a high volume pompadour up-do before finishing off her beautiful look with a light fuchsia lip-color and $2 million dollars worth of jewels from Norman Silverman.

Katy wore a pair of ascher cut diamond drop earrings with a matching ascher cut diamond bracelet.
