Madeleine Stowe in Monique Lhuillier | 2012 Costume Designers Guild Awards

If you’re feeling a case of déjà vu coming on when you look at Madeleine Stowe in this Monique Lhuillier gown, it may be because Gina Carano wore it recently for the Hollywood premiere of “Haywire”.

The “Revenge” actress selected this halterneck black lace gown with crisscrossing detail at the bodice, from the Fall/Winter 2011 collection, when she attended the 14th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards last night in Beverly Hills.

I like the design, but I just don’t think this was her dress. It almost looked like it was slipping off of her, but if the bodice was a bit higher that might have helped. Furthermore, her hair was too thick and overwhelming for the look – in some photos it sadly appeared downright messy.

Madeleine completed her look with large embellished earrings and light make-up.
