Madonna in Givenchy Couture | Bridgestone Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show

I was on pins and needles rooting for the New York Giants tonight right after the New England Patriots scored a touchdown and took the lead… then they cut me off with the halftime show. I put aside my eagerness to check out the outfit Madonna wore during her Bridgestone Super Bowl XLVI Halftime performance only to find out there were three!

Madonna took to the stage tonight for duets with Nicki Minaj and M.I.A., LMFAO, and Cee-Lo Green to perform some of her biggest hits in three couture looks by Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy.

The first was a Cleopatra-inspired shimmering metallic gold floor-length cape with leopard printed interior. Her epic headpiece was designed by Philip Treacy while her sparkling diamond earrings were courtesy of Bulgari.

Madonna removed her cape to show off a gladiator-esqué black short sleeve mini dress that was embellished with gold appliqué details and completed with long studded leather gloves and matching thigh-high boots.

Update (02.07.12 @ 2:49pm est):  Her over-the-knees black stretch nappa leather boots with gold metal buckle closures were custom made by Miu Miu! In fact, the heels are personalized with the letter “M” framed by two gold metal crowns! But, of course!

For her performance of “Like a Prayer” with Cee-Lo, she slipped on a black sequin adorned floor-length coat gown.

As for a little ‘background information’ — Madonna’s back-up dancers during “Music” wore Jeremy Scott for Adidas.
