Melissa McCarthy was all smiles when she arrived at the Hollywood & Highland Center last night for the 2012 Oscars — where she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in “Bridesmaids”.

The 41-year-old actress was styled by Cameron Silver of Decades, Inc. in a custom dusty rose gown by Marina Rinaldi.

I like the silhouette; the silver embroidery at her waist gave her some definition while hiding any problem areas — which is what her sheer draping sleeves did for her as well. With that said, I didn’t really like the color for her.

I love seeing Melissa in rich shades of midnight blue, plum, dark green, even a wine red. If this dress would have been in one of those colors — especially a dark blue, I think it would have been a vast improvement.

Melissa finished off her look by leaving her hair up to show off her diamond earrings from Chopard, she also wore a matching ring. She carried a custom oval minaudière encrusted with Swarovski crystals and wore custom open toed platform shoes with Swarovski crystals by her dear friend Brian Atwood.

He even personalized the soles with a special message!
