Paula Patton skipped the red carpet on Friday night for the 43rd Annual NAACP Image Awards, but her gorgeous bright red dress could not be missed!

The 36-year-old “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” actress selected an apple red raffia embroidered strapless gown by Monique Lhuillier that popped against her rich caramel complexion.

I love the striking beaded embroidery, but while I love ponytails and half-up/half-down styles, I wish Paula had worn her hair fully out to fall over those bare shoulders! But, regardless, she looked beautiful.

This was probably one of her best looks in the past year.

Paula completed her look with large gold drop earrings and a matching wide bangle.
