Salma Hayek in Azzedine Alaïa | 2012 Berlinale Film Festival – “La Chispa De La Vida” Photocall

On Wednesday morning, Salma Hayek arrived at the Grand Hyatt for the press conference and photocall to promote her film “La Chispa De La Vida” during the seventh day of the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival.

There’s no doubt about it — I love her velvet long-sleeve dress with a wide pleated skirt by Azzedine Alaïa, but I just feel like something is seriously lacking in this look.

I’m digging the black tights and there’s nothing wrong with her black Sergio Rossi “Uptown” leather pumps. I even like her tumbling waves of ombré tendrils.

Salma’s necklace was pretty much tucked into her collar in every photo, so maybe she needed more of a statement bib with this look or a pop of color. Regardless, I didn’t love the look — but I didn’t dislike it either.
