Thandie Newton went for a ravishing black and gold ensemble last night for the 2012 Laureus World Sports Awards, but tonight was all about being bright for the UK premiere of “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel”!

The 39-year-old actress joined her husband Ol Parker on the hot pink carpet at The Curzon Mayfair in London wearing a turquoise crepe asymmetrical dress from the Resort 2012 collection by Stella McCartney.  Thandie has a very slim body so she can get away with the billowy effect of this dress.

I like her colorful jewels and frayed bun hairstyle, but I’m not into the shoes. A nude suede pump is classic, but this dress deserved a great platform sandal that incorporated the color of the dress.
