Two steps forward and one step back?

That’s kind of how I felt about Vanessa Hudgens at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party this weekend.

The 23-year-old “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” actress hit the white carpet wearing a beautiful laser cut tiered metallic gold gown from the Spring 2012 haute couture collection by Georges Chakra, but what was going on with her hair?

I see that she tried to go for glam waves, but it just aged her tremendously and the strap on her clutch just put the look more on the ‘costume’ side. If she had a smoother hairstyle and a darker contrasting gold minaudière, this would have been a more polished look for her.
