Viola Davis stepped out on the red carpet on Friday night for the annual NAACP Image Awards where she took home the award for Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in “The Help”.

The 46-year-old actress, joined by her co-star Octavia Spencer, wore a tangerine plunging neck gown by Herve L. Leroux.

The brightly colored gown looked sensational against Viola’s complexion, but it’s hard to appreciate that detail when the fit of the dress is so poor. Viola is practically busting out the top!

A little bit of cleavage can sometimes be a good thing, but being as exposed as Viola was isn’t a good look for anyone at a red carpet event. This bums me out because this could have been such a winner for her.

Her hair looked good and her jewelry was beautiful and also complimentary, but in addition to the ill-fitting dress — her make-up was a bit over-done as well.
