Zooey Deschanel arrived at the Hollywood Palladium last night for the 2012 Writers Guild West Coast Awards in a dark blue based shiny plaid halter-neck vintage gown by Shareen with light gold leather straps that matched the criss-crossing wrapped belt.

I usually can’t say no to plaid, but this just reminds me of a dress I wore for my Christmas party back in third grade. Considering the holidays are over, I would rather have seen Zooey in the hot pink color of this design.

Zooey completed her look with a stained reddish lip-colour and her thick dark tresses swept up in a half-up, half-down style that left her bangs on full display.
