Ashlee Simpson joined her pal Minka Kelly at The Star in Sydney, Australia on Friday night as they celebrated the opening night of the Marquee night club.The 27-year-old singer-turned-actress stepped out on the purple carpet wearing a brown halterneck snakeskin printed gown from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection by Roberto Cavalli.

I love the way the billowing layered style hung from her tall and svelte figure.

Because Ashlee’s hair is so short, it looked really good with the design because she didn’t have to worry about finding the appropriate up ‘do or having overwhelming long waves. She casually swept her bright blonde tresses with a side-parted style.

A reptile print wasn’t enough for her though as Ashlee accessorized with loaded jewels and a bold leopard printed clutch.

I guess animal print ‘is the new black’?
