Elizabeth Banks in Bill Blass & J. Mendel | “The Hunger Games” London Premiere

Elizabeth Banks made a grand stylish return to the red carpet tonight for the European premiere of “The Hunger Games”, held at O2 Arena in London with her co-stars Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson.

The 38-year-old actress, who portrays the ever-so-fashionable Effie Trinkit in the film, wore a dazzling sunny yellow sequin-embellished short sleeve gown from the Spring 2012 collection by Bill Blass.

I’ve always been such a fan of this dress and the unique way in which the sequin design breaks off into various width stripes to show off a solid sheer detail.

This was an amazing fit on Elizabeth — and I’m obsessed with the low-dipping open back! This was something I could never see from a runway photo, therefore it was a nice surprise when she struck an ‘over the shoulder’ pose on the red carpet.

I also like the complimentary Judith Leiber box clutch that Liz accessorized with.

It was pretty chilly out — and Elizabeth arrived to the red carpet via boat, so she kept warm in a white mink coat with suede inserts and three-quarter sleeves by J. Mendel.

She completed her look by wearing her wavy blonde tresses up in a chignon with stray pieces, Irene Neuwirth rainbow moonstone earrings, a Diamond in the Rough diamond ring from the Iceberg Collection and a pair of Jimmy Choo “Private” gold platform sandals.
