The beautiful Elizabeth Olsen spent her day in New York City this past Thursday as she promoted her new movie “Silent House” at the Sirius XM Radio studios.

The 23-year-old actress wore a stunning shade of ruby in the form of a velvet suit from the Fall 2012 collection by The Row.

Style really runs in the family; Lizzie’s sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley designed it — and she was a smart gal to wear it. While normally you couldn’t go wrong with a dress shirt with a suit, Elizabeth’s pale blue button-down by Elizabeth & James just didn’t look right to me.

It made the look a bit stiff whereas the suit should be very sleek and sexy. I also would have liked to have seen Lizzie wear this one on the red carpet instead of a daytime press appearance.

She completed her look with cool nude snakeskin pumps by Jimmy Choo, oversize shades and a big black leather handbag.
