Jaws dropped when Jennifer Lawrence arrived at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live tonight for the Hollywood premiere of “The Hunger Games”. Mine included.

She made her way down the black carpet, lined with swarms of fans that she stopped to sign autographs for, in a gleaming metallic gold gown by Prabal Gurung.

The 21-year-old actress plays the heroine role of Katniss Everdeen — known as “the girl on fire”, and I don’t know about you, but Jenn was certainly on fire tonight in this cut-out gown hot off the Fall 2012 New York Fashion Week runway.

The super high front slit gave a view of her sensational black and gold strappy platform “Bunting” sandals by Jimmy Choo. But, I need to draw attention to the daring cutaway detail at the back of the dress. Wow.

As if the look wasn’t smoldering enough, make-up artist Jillian Dempsey gave Jenn a sexy ‘smokey’ eye.

She finished off her look with an unkempt up-do that had a gold vine circlet, with draped chains and crystal appliqués, by Jennifer Behr woven into her honey-colored tresses. Peeking out from underneath were gold Jacob & Co. earrings.

The only thing missing from this look is the black belt from the catwalk.

On another note, I love the shot below of Jenn with her boys Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth!

I like pieces of her look. Her make up -especially her eyes! -look amazing, the shoes are stellar but I’m iffy on on the dress and the hair. I’m not sold on the fabric (but I was hoping for more of a “fire” dress) and I’m not a fan of the messy hair, it looks almost like an afterthought.
