On April 2nd, it will have been one hundred years since the RMS Titanic sank in the North Atlantic Ocean taking 1,514 passengers under with it. In such a tragic story, director James Cameron was able to create one of the most romantic yet depressing cinematic films of our time with 1997′s “Titanic”.

In honor of this, on April 4th the Academy Award-winning film returns to the big screen in 3D and actress Kate Winslet was in London today to celebrate the film at the red carpet premiere held at The Royal Albert Hall.

The 36-year-old English actress looked beautiful in a custom-made black silk crepe gown by designer Jenny Packham with stunning Swarovski crystal-encrusted short sleeves and a diamond shaped appliqué at the waist.

Kate completed her look with an elegant curled hairstyle, a red Lancome-lacquered pout and gorgeous sparkling jewels by Charles Goode for Goode and Son.

She’s also wearing black platform satin sandals and carrying a matching clutch by Christian Louboutin.

All that’s missing is her former co-star Leonardo DiCaprio.

She looks 50. The silk crepe and ornamental brooch at the front of the waist to camouflage where the draping effect is cinched is a novice technical design move. This custom design fails to capture any aspect of the Edwardian Era. It translates to dated as in early 90s. Gorgeous earrings though.
