Lucy Liu opted for an edgy LBD when she attended the NYC screening of her new movie “Detachment” on Tuesday night at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema.

The 43-year-old actress selected a leather flower appliqué longsleeve dress from the Fall 2012 collection by Chadwick Bell.

I like the dress, but I really like that she added a pop of color with her long violet evening clutch from Roger Vivier.

Sadly, I don’t really feel the need for the mega-platform boxy nude Giuseppe Zanotti pumps when everything was going so well. A shimmering metallic or embellished violet shoe would have kept up that fun vibe — even a sleek black pump.

She completed her look with an up-do and smokey eyes.
